Smokers Paradise (for all the smokers and BBQ lovers)

Pics
I almost never manage to take any food pics, tonight my attention was divided between the grill and two kids trying to wear out the training wheels on their bikes in the driveway, weather turned nice and snow is melting fast

I know stones are more traditional for pizza but I have a cast iron pizza pan from Lodge(made in America) that works great, prefer it over the stone.

Have an anniversary soon, will try to get some pics, usually steak.

That is cool you have a cast iron pizza pan, wish I did. I love my cast iron, have a whole collection that I use on the smoker. I use a pizza stone on the smoker, makes for a crisp pizza. Also one thing we like is putting cornmeal on the bottom of the pizza stone and then putting the crust on top. Makes for a yummy crisp crunchy crust.

Hmm smoked pizza. Never tried it.. .

Nothing like it! But that is everything on the smoker, from biscuits, pies, cookies, cakes, etc. everything taste better smoked.

Nothing quite like a smoked wing, I will never have another fried wing.

We still have a ton of snow...but it's melting my driveway is an ankle deep lake...the ducks seem to love it though.
Should be able to dig the smoker back out...it's been buried for a couple of months.

Picked at it the way it was and had a few beers. Tomorrow will be sandwiches!
Nothing wrong with some meat and beer. Also you said it often times meat from the smoker doesn't need any sauce. Gotta love that.

sorry you are still in winter mode....Colorado is feeling a lot like spring lately.

Thanks for the recipe on the squash. I picked one up today and you saved me the searching :)
you are welcome, enjoy. Made it about 5 times since Nov, definitely one of my favorites.

I didn't get any pics of the burgers, just basic burgers but the grill temp during warmup got away from me while I was playing with the kids, enjoying this seeming early spring.

Couple flank steaks for dinner.

Then a brisket to smoke overnight. Grill must have run a little warmer than intended because the brisket is done already.

The ceramic grills can use so little charcoal(lump not briquettes) and be stable enough you can sleep while they cook without any sort of controller. I do use a Maverik remote thermometer that has alarms to wake me if a temp gets out of line. No need to use a water tray or wrap to keep moist, only wrap when done to rest and keep hot till dinner.
