So… is this a wild or escaped/set free/ domestic rabbit?

I’ve seen 2 different rabbits, but this is the only one that has stuck around.

I am wondering if it is wild or domestic. It doesn’t run away when we approach it, and it doesn’t seem to mind humans at all.

Is it possible to determine this through pictures?

I think it's domesticated, I don't think there's wild black rabbits. I don't know anything about them though so maybe @Kiki can help

I asked our neighbor that had been asking something about rabbits if they were his. He said they weren’t, that they just showed up one day And that he feeds them carrots every now and then. He says there are three. This one, a grey one, and one that’s part white and part light brown. I haven’t seen the grey one yet.

Hopefully I might be able to, i think we’re going to rural king over the weekend (I think I saw hay for rabbits there) I wanted to know if it’s domestic or wild to see if I could “adopt” it :

I do not buy hay labeled for rabbits.
It is so much cheaper to buy hay labeled for horses.

I would imagine that if it stays and lives in the yard like it currently is living that it probably won't be around for too long before something eats it.

Giving them hay would be better than giving them carrots.
But since they live outside, I imagine there finding enough hay or grasses on their own if your weather is decent still.
