how did you start out? how many hens and roosters did ya have? when did you buy an incubator? did the flock grow, and/or how fast ? If you want quality-not quantity then what was your min. # of birds kept. ECT.

any regrets? and what was the most rewarding moments

How I got started? Dh bought me chicks at the feed store.
Roos to hens? Originally we had no idea, but ended up w/ about 50/50.
Bought an incubator? After I had placed like a dozen chick orders and realized people sold hatching eggs
Flock growth? Oh well the first 16 went up to over 300 in 12 short months!!
One year I brought in a grand total of 96 chicks/hatching eggs, and kept 11 quality birds!
regrets? Not really the whole family loves having chickens and we are still experimenting to this day.
Rewards: You bet ya but that list is soooo Long!
Currently happily typing with 100 chicks in 3 different brooders 5 feet away. And they are all my breeding
