Something killed my chicken and she had chicks?? HELP!!

A dog killed my hen this morning. Even sadder, she had 2 babies that are 3 weeks old. Will they be ok with her gone?

Sorry about your loss.

They will be fine as long as you provide a brooder for them. You can make this out of a large storage tub or box. Fill it with wood shavings for bedding. Then get a heat lamp to provide warmth and don't forget the water and chick crumbles. You can search how to raise chicks so that you are a little more informed.

If it was spring or summer, I'd tell you not to worry about it. It's cold now though, so, like arialp says, you need a brooder to keep them warm or another couple weeks.
