So I have a 5 month old Serena when will she start laying? And I have a serama a rooster will he fertilize all my hens (most are standard size)? I also have a silkie sitting on 2 chickes about 2weeks old when will she let then go on there own? One more question how long does it take eggs to hatch?

Your five-month old should start laying any time in the next couple weeks. Look for her comb and wattles to suddenly get bright red, and the first egg should be along shortly.

I imagine your little roo will try his very best, but with his short little legs, he may not be "up" to the job of fertilizing standard hens.

It depends on the hen how long she will care for her chicks. But she may be close to cutting them loose.

Twenty-one days for eggs to hatch.
