Split Down Middle of Beak

I have a Polish chicken that has a split going down the middle of her beak from base to tip. It has been there for a while and I've been afraid to mess with it in hopes of it healing on its own. I'm afraid it's gotten worse, as now her beak is beginning to split apart near the tip. Any ideas on what I should do to treat this?

I would be tempted to apply 'Super Glue' along the top of the beak to strengthen it.
