Staying on the roost all day?

Most of my chickens stay on the roost all day does anyone know why?

Is it too cold outside and maybe the roost is warmer?

Its been in the 30s&40s.

Has your chicken always done this or is it just recently? Is the bird eating and drinking normally? I would be a bit concerned if it is the only chicken staying on the roost all day.

Mine have been roosting alot also. It has been in the 20's all day and teens at night. I think they just like to cuddle when it's cold. I wouldn't worry too much.
