Last Friday, my ten week old chicken whom I am sure was developing into a rooster (he had been crowing for about a week) died suddenly. I was tending the little chicks in their coop in the morning. He was scratching and pecking around with the others when suddenly he fell over, had a seizure, let out one little cry and died. My husband and I both saw this. We are heartbroken, stunned, and mystified. He had been very healthy with no problems before this. Can anyone help me figure out what could have happened to him? Has anyone else had this happen?
