So this is my sapphire gem who had poop caked onto her feathers. So I have been soaking her in Epsom salt. I have also been spraying her with this stuff. Any advice or input? I can't determine if it's water Belly or vent gleet or both. I soaked her for 2 days and I noticed her feathers have been staying clean however the swelling didn't go down that's why I'm concerned thinking it could be water belly :(

How is she acting?

Does she have any wounds on the abdomen or do you see any maggots?

You would have to feel the abdomen, if it's tight like a drum, then likely she has fluid which is a symptom called Ascites (Water Belly). If she's acting normal/active and eating/drinking, you can monitor her or some folks drain the fluid to give the hen a bit of relief if they seem to be uncomfortable. Draining the fluid is a care and comfort measure, it will not cure whatever condition is causing the accumulation of fluid in the abdomen.
