I am just now seeing this thread. Teila, what a heart wrenching story! Our babies mean so much to us, they are extensions of ourselves. And it hurts deeply when they are sick. I am super glad you found the right vet and he is doing so well now. A happy belated birthday to Syba!

I made myself cry by going back and reading my first post! LOL It was a very traumatic experience for all involved.

Unfortunately we encountered a busy Veterinary Practice who were too quick to give up on their patient and pushing for us to give up also.

My hope in sharing our experience is that it may help others in the future to seek a second opinion before making that heart breaking decision.
