One of my hens (about a year) is giving every symptom of being egg bound. We have done everything suggested and she has yet to pop it out. Externally neither me or my husband could feel an egg so this morning he lubed her vet and felt inside for an egg. He couldn't find one at all.
Yesterday mornings batch of eggs contained an egg 2x as big as our usual eggs (which are large to begin with). Could she just be recovering from laying such a large egg? Could something else be the culprit? Could she still actually be bound even though we can't find the egg?
