Did I see somewhere that tail feathers are a sign that the chick is a rooster? I have three 2-week old chicks & two of the three are developing tail feathers. Is it still too early to know? Or is that a good indication?

well with the first two Barnevelder chicks I had it was. I got them at 3 weeks old and the pullet had wing and tail feathers and the cockerel had primary wing feathers but no coverts and no tail

But the group I have now, the legbar cockerel (they are sexable at birth) has tail feathers already at 2 weeks old
