Okay... I love my Roo and the ordinances say I can not keep him because of his crow. Is it possible to surgically silence his crow? It may be a crazy question, but I just had to ask. I don't want to have to give him up... he is so sweet and adorable! He even protects his flock of ladies! Any other suggestions?!
Thank you!

There have been many discussions about this. Yes, it is possible to surgically remove but the rooster rarely survives and is not worth the expense to kill your rooster. After all there are billions of unwanted roosters and lots of places that don't allow them.
Your choices are to change the ordinances, re-home the rooster, have him for dinner or move.
It's great to be able to have roosters. They belong with hens but even if everyone could have roosters. 90% would have to be culled anyway.

Thank you... I did do a little research and found out just what you are saying. I could never be so inhumane. I will have to find a home for him.
