I'm building a temporary pen in a shady corner next to the house. It'll house our 4 chickens temporarily while I build them a bigger/better home, and ultimately I'll just use it as a chicken tractor.

I'm going to move the door to the side instead of having a hinged lid. I'm also leaving the back part of the roof open and covering it with wire instead of more roof paneling for ventilation since it get's some coverage from the house roof overhang already. When it becomes a chicken tractor I'll close off the rest of the roof and add some handles and wheels.
They chickens already like hanging out in that shady corner, and a couple wandered in to check it out.
