Panic!!!!
Half my chicks have hatched. Some are zipping some are pipped and my 1588 suddenly shut off!!! ???

Check the connections--make sure the power strip is on.

I noticed that 3/4 of my ameraucana chicks have leg issues. These were all ones that were late hatching. Wonder why? Temp's been steady as a rock. These are all from the same breeder. I wonder if it could be genetic?

Or, is the left leg not strong. I find if they hatch late, they often have one leg that won't stretch out as far as the other. They limp.

I tape them like splayed leg for a day. Usually does the trick to fix them.

How do you give a baby chick ab bath. I know not to soak them so do I run a drizzle of warm water on them? Thanks for any advise!

I've had the most issues with the eggs I bought (lavender Ameraucana's) vs my own... had 2 not make it due to possible brain damage or nutrional def. And one tht had splayed legs (which are fine now). Hoping it's not genetic bc my plan is to breed them.

Get an extra thermometer in it, put it on the stove and turn stove on, cover with blankets. Keep a close eye on temperature

The connectors seem fine.... It my first time using it so I do really know what to look for. Is it possible my humidity got too high?
