Only curious...at least for now ;)
If someone was to create an autosexing bantam breed, what would be ways to achieve this? What colors or breeds could be used to make this happen? Not alot of information I could get through google, so I’m asking here 😅

Are you thinking of developing a new autosexing breed, or doing a cross to produce sex link chicks?

Regardless of bantam or standard size, the rules are the same. Pick birds of color from the correct catagories, and you will get autosexing young, such as seen in this thread for red sex links -

Standard breeds which are autosexing (such as Barred Rock) should also be autosexing as bantams.

You just need barring on duckwing.
That combination is the known pattern crele and is the basic formula for autosexing.

I don't consider BR or welsummer autosexing.
Sexing them is said to be about 80% accurate. That's not high enough in my opinion.
I know Crele OEGB exist but unsure what others.

I know a long time LF BR breeder.
He's been doing it a long time and has had his line a long time.
He said it's about 80% so I figured that's high end.
Ya it's better then 50/50 but I still don't think it qualifies for autosexing.
