(Because since it literally is darkness he is pretty much just a shadow so only a few things effect him.)

(His weakness isnt light surprisingly. If he is darkness then that means only one thing can touch him which would be more darkness.)

(If you think about it its logical, light cant touch darkness it only scatters it but as soon as the light leaves the dark comes creeping back.)
