Nakota stood over a large cliff, on one of the mountains overlooking the valley. The branches of forest green pine trees gently swayed back and forth as a gentle breeze came through. Her mane and tail blew from the wind, her face betraying no emotion. She had guarded this valley for centuries.

Attollo was in his cave deep in the mountains. Sometimes he felt lonely, being a wolf, but not much. He picked up his old leather journal in his jaws, set it down in front of him, and carefully carried a quill over. He closed his eyes, thinking of how it moved across the page, and the feather started to write.

Nakota looked up, the skies becoming cloudy. "Izou must be in a bad mood," she muttered, before turning around and beginning to walk in the mountains.

Sylvia was perched in a tree, her head resting on her chest as she took a nap.

Nakota stopped under the tree to graze.

Sylvia opened her eyes, still drowsy. "Hello," she said to Nakota.

Nakota looked up at her, "hello."

Sylvia blinked the sleppiness out of her eyes, "You're the guardian of the valley!" she said.
