Or they didnt have the looked for color but figured they might be able to make a sale with what they had. I've offered colors before when asked about birds of a different color because maybe they'll be interested

Or they don't have enough eggs to fill or send extra and they send a few of some other color in the same breed.

I purchased some blue columbian brahma eggs and the lady didn't have enough to send extra so she sent some dark brahma eggs along with the Blue columbian ones.

The colors not bad. For me it's the mottleing I wouldn't want.

That soot gray look is kinda pretty, I just dislike mottleing. Not sure why because I like the spangling on the Spitzhaubens.

I had a bantam cochin who didn't have super bad shredder. Still some, but not like what I keep seeing Orpingtons have.

I don't like mottling either, the dislike comes from trying to eliminate it, although I have a pullet that I know for sure is a carrier.
