The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Just catching up...

Cap, so did the steroid shot help with the pain?

Sean, must have missed your results...is everything healing up ok?

Sharron, glad they got to your DH right away. Hope he can come back home tomorrow!

Blooie, thanks for sharing the cranberry relish recipe. Darn, I have everything but walnuts. And to think, I stood there looking at them on the shelf before deciding I didn't need them. They'd be great in your relish.

DH called today, he's hard at work up there on the house in Casper. He said that crawl space is full of junk so he's cleaning it all out. He also told me there are 2 no longer functioning heaters down there alongside the functioning heater! I guess when one died, they just stuck a new one next to the dead one...a couple of times.
 I left an attic fan up in the attic when I replaced it. I did not want to drag it back out the rafters. It is very tight up there.

One day someone will find them up there LOL!

yeah but an old not working fan won't start a fire, most anyone could say is, they was too lazy to take it out and put it in the garbage:lol:

JaeG - Crap just crap, can't they get anything right. Hope this time goes well with your grandmother. :fl :hugs

N F C - Wasn't there an inspection done? :hmmThe house I sold when I was in Dallas had the inspection done and it was pier and beam construction, the inspector crawled under there to inspect for water leaks foundation problems etc.

Cap - Hope your feeling some relief! :hugs

Sour - Glad you had a fabulous time with your family. :celebrate

As suspected, I'm healing, just very slowly. Got to go back Dec 19th, another x-ray, (I'm going to be glowing by the next x-ray)
He thinks my pain may be due to the sciatica nerve either was damage or maybe the lower discs in my back are compressing on it. I told him, my back doesn't hurt but anyway he wants to x-ray or do a CT scan on my back next time also. He also said with this kind of fracture, I should expect quite a bit of pain.
I'm going to frame the bill this time....I had to ask the receptionist twice, thought maybe the fracture was affecting my ears too!
A grand total of $3.57 yeah, you heard it right, 3 dollars and fifty seven cents.:th

well, just got home and had to feed before i could sit down and breathe
son took us to the hospital as y'all know, it was the hospital not the dr's office, dr took him down and put the cath? into his wrist and up to his heart, the old stent he had put in at least 20 years ago had clogged up completely so he put another one in close to the old one, still clogged to he put another one close to the new one, now its open and his heart beat is going up, while we were there(left while husband was eating lunch) his heart beat went up slowly but surely to 70 SO RELIEVED, dr was real nice, he slipped husband in ahead of his first operation cause husbands dr here in town was scared for husband, his heart beat before was only 48 and he was afraid he would have a heart attack before he could get in to this heart surgeon. if nothing goes wrong, i can go get him in the morning and bring him home:wee:wee:yesss:
thanks for all the well wishes , it worked:hugs

Of course it did! :celebrate We were ready for some good news on the medical front!!

Artesian wells are amazing! There was one on the property where my Dad grew up and there is a place in the Mendocino national forest called cold springs that is one too. We camped there and drank the water that came up out of the ground. It was very good water too

All of Cowley’s water comes from a big Artesian Well here. Many years ago there were plans to bottle and sell it, it’s that good! I can’t even drink a glass of water anywhere else after living here.

@sharron that's such great news!

Cap I hope your shoulder feels better soon, and I know how frustrating it is to have stuff you need to get done, but you can't (or shouldn't).

Sean, I hope the doctor can give you a clue as to how your leg is healing.

My Nan got sent home (she's currently staying with my parents) with 2 drains in her neck which, by next morning had blocked up. They had to take her to the hospital on Sunday and they were replaced, only to have exactly the same thing happen the next morning. They were meeting the surgeon the next day so Mum gave him a flea in his ear!

We've just had a big hail storm. The kids have collected some to put in the freezer to show DH/Dad later. DS is currently jumping on the trampoline with a whole bunch of hail. Very exciting stuff. It's rather cold outside - but we are toasty inside with the fire going.

I hope those fleas bite because what’s happening to her sure does!

@bruceha2000 Like there’s any reason to worry about me - I’m like the Energizer Bunny and a Timex, all rolled into one......like a Timerbunny!

@sourland, happy that you enjoyed your day!
