Their first catch

So, I didn't know 3 day old chicks had these skills! We caught a bunch of grasshoppers and released them near the chicks. Momma showed them how to catch the grasshoppers one time and they were instant pros!

I bought some itty-bitty crickets and released them in the brooder. The chicks went NUTS hunting them down. My only mistake was forgetting that crickets can climb cardboard, LOL! I kept having to brush them back into the brooder and I'm sure a few escaped. *shudder*
