Timothy hay for ducklings

I let them outside during the day, when I can be out with them. And, they actually get out of the tote as they please and run around the room. I'm looking to find an outdoor, enclosed run and coop with lots of running room. I'd never seen runner ducks before I got these. They act like little Penguins

These 2 seem to be connected at the hip, lol. They hate being separated and yell at the top of their lungs until they're able to touch again. I put them outside for quite a while yesterday, as it was in the high 70's, and they made themselves at home. I have 5 hens that free range and they just ignored the ducks, lol.

I'm trying to find the best thing to use on the coop floor. I use pine shavings for my chickens, as well as for my ducks that are still inside. But, wondering if anyone has any better ideas. thanks

I use straw and sawdust. I've been using pelletized horse bedding but can get sawdust from sawmills locally.
