Tiny red spiders/mites on wood?

What are they and what do I do?

I got some 2x4s from Home Depot to build my coop and run, and put them near the pallets and wood we are using for the coop, this morning I noticed little red things all over them and on some of the wood I already had. Looked at the ones still on the van, same thing, so they came from Home depot, hubby didn't notice...

How do I get rid of them? are they dangerous/bad for my chickens?
