Transition Question

I have 12 growing chicks together in the same brooder. I have 2 coops/runs ready for them when it’s time. Coops are different sizes so I will split the flocks into 7 & 5. My question for you experts is: can I combine both flocks in a large outside run and let them forage together, or will they always have to be separate. Any advice appreciated

No reason they can't, though be aware they will naturally sort themselves. and resort themselves from time to time.
