We had our annual island living show this past weekend on Grand Cayman and there many vendors attending ranging from propane gas appliances, security systems, landscaping, etc.

My bride managed to speak with a local sod grower and ended up coming home with a number of fresh squares free of charge. We have place them in one section of the coop, have watering system in place, and the girls seem to like the new addition!

Has anyone else had any success with planting sod in their coops and have it survive? Only 3 Auracana hens share this space, maybe it will work...any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

John

Hey, it's pretty for now. Realistically they will probably eat and scratch it into oblivion. Giving them limited access to the sod would increase the chances of it 'surviving'.
