Yep! All of our Easter Eggers have eventually started laying sandpaper eggs. We recently had to give her a round of Calcium Citrate + D3 because her eggs started to get thin. It has improved her egg quality a lot.

That’s so interesting, I hope everything works out for you! She’s the only one with the issue so hopefully it’s just her, I’ve read that some chickens just lay rough eggs like that. So I’m hoping! Thank you for your input.

Definitely keep an eye out for the thin shelled eggs. That is usually where I intervene. Otherwise, not uncommon for first year hens to lay some abnormal eggs

Her face doesn’t look puffy enough for an Easter eaher, but I might be wrong.

I don’t think that matters…. This is my Easter egger a hatchery gave me. She lays a pink egg and her “daughter” also laid a pink egg
