TSC chicks - SLW?

Wow, thanks! They are both beautiful. I'm super excited to have some SLW, I've been wanting some the last few years but have been trying to be semi-responsible with my flock size 😏

IMO, they are the most beautiful of hens.

But not well suited to my hot and steamy climate, which is what I wanted the single combs for.

Cute chicks! I agree with everyone else that they look like SLW.

I have some that just turned a year old. There was some slight variance in leg color. All were yellow but just a bit of shading difference. Hatchery and breeder flocks will sometimes throw a single comb so not a real problem unless you show birds. SOP does call for a rose comb for showing.

I think you'll be seeing lacing in no time!

Here is a photo of my babies when just a couple weeks old. The lighter one is a male that is blue laced silver. Hope you enjoy your babies!

Whoohoo, I have 4 showing lacing! Just one that is different, and it isn't the dark legged chick. Could this chick with the white tipped feathers still get lacing? Is this a different breed, or maybe it will just be poorly laced?

The first three photos are the chick in question, the last 3 photos are some of the others that look laced. There is one almost white and one dark brown EE chick mixed in the photos, no question what they are!

Silvis is the SLW that has a quite pink comb, I'm sticking to the SLW are hard to sex and often pink up early... right??? 😬
