Is there a specific food for turkeys? Both the feed stores near me have said to feed the turkeys the same as the chickens. When they were poults they got a starter that was medicated and higher in protein. Now that they are older what is the ideal food for them? I have been feeding them the regular chicken food, but recently switched back to the crumbles from pellets because I noticed there was more protein in it, and I learned here that they need at least 22% protein. I would prefer to feed the crumbles, there seems to be much less waste with it. Is there anything that I can add to the food to boost the protein content? TIA
