They don't appear to be eating or drinking well and there vents looked plugged

I have been putting Vaseline on there vents and I do have them separated

Personal opinion:. These new babies need medicated food for at least the first 3-6 weeks!! Purist's would disagree but starting these babies with protection is the very best thing you should do!!

You will need to keep the vents cleared of any poop. You can try offering them wet chick feed to see if that helps. Make sure they are drinking plenty of water.
