Tweety quit laying eggs

Tweety started laying eggs about a week and a half ago and was laying them consistently for 4 days and she has not laid any more since. It's been a week since she laid her last egg. Is this typical of a 6 month old house chicken? I do take her outside when the weather is permitting her and leave her out for about an hour or so. I've looked around outside to see if she's laid any out there but haven't found any. We do have 6 week old chicks now and their cage is next to hers to get her accumulated to them. Could this also be a reason for her to quit laying eggs?

Any changes in a chickens environment will often cause hens to halt egg production. A hen needs to feel it is safe to raise chicks, even if she never will raise them. So disturbances, or stress will cause a halt in laying. When they feel more comfortable they will resume.
