Two chickens dead, Please Help!

Just a quick jump in . Have you looked for red mites? One of my girls looked poorly. I checked her out and full infestation of red mites. Treated, took her inside, will keep her in till she is well. Gave her a full scrubbing bath, chunks of mites came off. They would have killed her.

Definitely going to deworm the birds and insulate the coop. We heard pumpkin seeds helps deworm, going to try that first. Don't have enough feed bags to cover the coop, but we have tyvec, will use that to insulate. What do you think about 11 week old chicks in 0-20 degrees. Will they be alright? We are using a floodlight to heat the coop. Will that be enough?

The mites are easy to spot. Put the bird on her back. Look in the area where her vent is. Pull the feathers back so you can see her skin down there. crawling on her skin, crusted on feather shafts.
