No, actually they are from Greenfire Farm eggs. I also have two Crevecoeurs the same age from the same hatch. I can't see a comb on the first one (with white in the crest), but I do see a small comb on the second one.

Oh wow. I wouldn't expect GFF to produce that quality lacing. I have heard a few things though.

The Crevecoeurs look like pullets so far. They're a bit more tricky to sex though. Post photos of them closer to the 12-14 week mark.

Yes, well, they were eggs after all. Yes, the Crevecoeurs have me guessing. If I have a pair I will give them to someone I know so they can breed them. I would hate for a rooster to go to waste and I can't have any. I don't know if it's because the crest of the first one is larger, I have not seen any sign of a comb, the second one I do see a comb. They are not supposed to have very big wattles, right? I will post again in about 4-6 weeks if it's not clear by then. Thank you.

I may not have had luck with the quality of the chicks, but so far, I have gotten females from the eggs that have hatched from Greenfire Farms. The one that is a cockerel is the one I wanted to be a pullet. It's the Deathlayer in the background of one of the Crevecouer pictures, that I posted about at 5 1/2 weeks. I'm the one with the 3 Bresse pullets.

I see what you mean about possibly having a pair. Glad you have a plan in place for just in case.

Right. No big wattles.

Oh no, I'm sorry! So far it seems your luck has been good for pullets though.
