Type of sand

Hello all,

I know there are a ton of threads on sand but I don't have time to read them all. I am going to put sand in my run and was wondering which would be best. The run is on a clay/mud ground with 1/4 hardware cloth over the floor. I have a local rock hard that sells #10 gravel and a finer option called PUG. The river sand they had was just as fine as play sand. Opinions are welcome. I tried to include a picture of the #10 and PUG side by side.

Use course sand for best results. Here is a thread for quick results reading. You will see that peeps are as divided on using sand in coops and runs as .................. our forefathers were divided before the CIVIL WAR.
