Misty followed storm. Suddenly out of a ally let a coyote. It's jaws grabbed misty scruff and threw her to the ground. She yelped and tried to get up but it was on top of her. It bit into her neck but her thick fur stopped his teeth from going through. It bit into her shoulder this time succeeding. Blood began to fall. She reached around and grabbed it's legs.

Storm whirled around. He turned to see two coyotes, one attacking Misty and one stalking towards him. Storm's fur bristled. He bared his long, sharp teeth and leaped for the coyote on Misty. He shoved it off her and sank his teeth into it's throat before it could react.
 
Max trotted toward the bark.

Misty scrambled up but was hardly able to stand. The coyote had messed up her foot. It was broken at the ankle. Not bad it would heal eventually.

Storm was enraged. After he killed the first coyote, he leaped upon the second, startled, coyote. Storm made short work of that coyote, too. He turned to Misty, panting. "Are you alright?" He asked with startling tenderness.
