I know they are young! But compared to the other few silkies I raised all 4 of these guys have a bit different combs developing.

Ugh…how I hope that little blue or splash, was a pullet…no idea what he is. Bought as a white silkie and was an all yellow chick. Pretty sure it’s a boy with that wide comb?

Also the red Cochin bantam has to be a roo right? No behavioral indications of a male other than huge waddle and comb. And here is my roo silkie that is crazy developed and a week older. So the size difference had me wonder.

Cochins a male. You are right about the last Silkie being a male. The second bird is suspicious, though a tad bit young to say for the rest. Time will tell!

Thank you! Lol yeah I figured maybe he was a late bloomer. compared to the sibling I gave to my neighbor (also a roo), mine has much smaller comb and waddles.

Follow up at 12 weeks what do ya think? Pretty sure the one black silkie is a cockerel.

And what is my greyish looking silkie? Bought as a white when I got it. I hope pullet but behavior wise I don’t know.

Cochins are male and last silkie is male. Others I'm not sure. I suck at silkie genders
