UPDATE! Found All 6 Of My Babies Dead!!--Predator Attack?

This morning I went to feed the babies and when I got to the 5 1/2 week olds pen I noticed the corner had been dug into, some nails were gone and all my babies that were in the pen. No sign of feathers, bodies or anything they are all just gone

So could this be a dog or something else that got them?


I just found all 6 of my babies dead, nothing ate them, all are in tact, what could have done this?

Here, that would be raccoons. I am so sorry!!!

Oh no! Are there foxes in your area? In my neck of the woods, I've not known the coons to dig under but to find any weak spot in the wire. The only thing I can think of that would be digging would be a fox or a dog or some type of weasel.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's devastating.

all the babies were just found dead. Bodies are intact! What did this?

sounds like what happened to me. it was my neighbors dogs. the dog would break through my coops and pens and kill them and leave. the dog would keep coming back. when you get more chicks, you need to really work on the pen. i had to cae top bottom and sides with very strong materials. i am so sorry
