To answer Kim's question and anybody who is interested in how Churkey got named...
When my youngest daughter brought home the chick, she looked rather odd for a couple of months and was rather large with spotty feathering. Of course my three elder daughters, smelling blood in the water and more than happy to get an opportunity to tease the youngest, kept insisting that the chick was part turkey...
...so she became churkey, part chicken, part turkey...eventually it just stuck!
