Vaccinations, worming, etc

What are the basics on vaccination, worming, and other disease prevention. My chicks are 6-7 weeks old, fully feathered, still eating medicated chick feed, and have move outside in the coop/pen and doing Great! Just want to keep it that way!
 
Vaccination is not usually recommended for backyard flocks. You should check with your county extension agent (if you are in the US) to learn whether this is true in your area.

There is no straightforward answer to the worming question. Some use "natural" methods, some worm routinely with medications, and some do not worm unless the chickens get symptomatic. This is not something that has been researched for chickens, as it has for cats, dogs, cattle, etc.
