I am a first time chicken owner though I grew up in the country helping all my friends with animals and was in ffa etc. I just got all my new babies. They are so precious. We have two Barred rocks: Petra and Astrid, one lavender Orpington: Ilsa, one buff Orpington: Hilda, Two Easter eggers: Matilda and Zelda.
The lavender is the oldest at a week and a half, and the Easter eggers are both just a few days old though Zelda is tiny. The rest are about a week old. I've been taking Zelda out a couple times today to let her have some crushed crumble since she's so tiny. Everyone seems to be happy and thriving. Matilda's little baby chick beard is just so cute and Ilsa just learned to Roost, it's so cute and I'm so proud of her.
