I'm just wondering---------- If the vanilla trees work - could you get some of the vanilla oil and mix it in a sprayer and spray around barns and coops etc? I wonder if that would work for larger areas ?

Just put them in the coop and in my kitchen where they like to congrate. The flies not chickens. Whith in 10 minutes I only had one fly and he was going batty trying to get out of the kitchen.

SO glad that I found this thread, thank you, delfargo, for posting!! Been having issues with flies and those fly traps have a TERRIBLE smell! Looking forward to using these.
