I've gotten feed all over the valley...mostly because I don't like the feed store nearest me, which is Nellis Feed. They will take old hens and roos there though. I think they pay about $5 a bird. I haven't sold them any myself but a lady I know sold them her older layers. I don't particularly like the brand of feed they offer there and they seem kinda expensive but I don't have any horror stories regarding why I don't like them, I just don't. I get different things at different stores.Where's the best place to get feed here in Vegas?
I found a few things that could be it. The first is a wildfire in Northern NV that is the official reason.Went outside this morning to deep water and the sky is all orangey yucky. Where's the fire? Looks like an unhealthful air day.
I candled all the eggs I got and removed a few due to hairline cracks and porosity. So, one hen has 6 eggs, the other 7. As Holly31 also has BCM's and non-standard Ameraucanas it will be a fun mix of OE's, EE's, and BCM's. She has a barred N-S Am. That would be fun!Hey Traycie, What kind of eggs did you slip under your broody?
Currently I have BCM's, GCM's, LO's, BBSO, EE's,a couple of Brahma's, Mille Fleur's, and a buttload of others that I don't know what they are. I'll post some pics this weekend and maybe you all can help me figure them out!
