Soul continued, going into a dreamy state, something he did when telling stories or describing things, especially things he enjoyed. "and the air is clear, you can see for ages. and then there's the sky at night. the stars glittering brightly like the sun on water. the moon turning the clouds to ghosts when the night sky is overcast." he lost himself in the world of the sky.

Shadow walked slowly along a forest trail, used many times and worn flat by deer. He followed the trail, picking up the scents, both old and new, of the deer that used the trail. then he came across another smell, one of a wolf, and reasonably fresh.

Blaze swiftly caught up with the doe she darted after it. She scurriedly had it in her grip, she leaped at it and embedded her claws into its back.

Shadow then smelt fresh blood, and heard the sounds of a doe under attack. someone's hunting he thought to himself, and walked on to investigate who it was.

Blaze's claw held onto the deer like a leech. She planted her back claws and raked the deer's back, getting a better hold. She snapped her jaws into the deers neck, creating a flowing river of blood.
