I ran a cross a British heritage breed I would love to have. Greenfire Farm has also been on the lookout for a source of good stock for this LF lovely old breed. which are excellent foragers, with several color patterns, including Wheaten. Black, Brown, and White. Very few exist in Britain. I am planning a trip next year and if anyone can point me toward a farmer with some decent stock I would very much appreciate it. The name alone would be sufficient for me to love this breed ( I grew up in the marshes of southwest New Jersey), but these hens have wonderful outgoing personalities, are good layers and foragers, and beautiful birds. The Cocks are low-key and peace-loving.
