Yesterday I went to get the eggs in the coop (it's a raised coop that I have to climb into to get the eggs out. I don't an egg box that I can just reach in to get the eggs out. They lay their eggs in a milk crate in the back of the coop. I hope you can understand the setup). Anyway, I climbed in as usual and there was a wasp that must having building a nest. Now, I have been going in there all the time and there have been bees and whatnot in there and they don't pay we any mind. Not yesterday! I grabbed the eggs and wham, I got stung right above my eye! I put ice on it right away and went on about with my business. Well, this morning my eye was swollen shut!!!! What a scary look! I went to ER and got taken care of. Thank goodness I can open my eye now, although still very swollen. But now my question, what should I do about the wasp nest? Can I spray bee and wasp spray in there? I don't what the chickens to get sick and die.
