Hi! I’m a returning member. We just built the new coop at our new house and got 6 chicks. They are 3 Auracanas, and 3 Buff Orpington. I’d say they are about 3 weeks old.
we live in San Diego, California in an unincorporated area and we have a pet potbelly pig and 3 dogs. The chicks have a 10x10’ covered run and an enclosed coop. I’ve been sitting out with them a bit in the run during the day but keeping them in a bin in the laundry room most of the time.
I’d like to put them in the coop already but they haven’t completely feathered out yet.
Im a work from home artist and Mom of 2 kids (13 & 9) and we have some raised garden beds where we grow veggies and several fruit trees.
