I have a Cayuga hen who has been setting for five weeks. I assume the eggs she's been setting on are not viable. I have a group of week old ducklings in the brooder. Any chance she may adopt them? Or are they too old? Thoughts?

They may not accept her if they have imprinted on you or each other, best thing to do is offer her a couple with you standing by, remove all her old eggs first though then put your hand over the duckling and slip it under her, if she is in full blown mother hood she may accept them. If she does then just slip the rest in there with her, but stay close by for quite a while to make sure it goes well with both sides.I have a Cayuga hen who has been setting for five weeks.
