I have a RIR hen 15mos old. Never given any problems. 2mos ago she started bowing up fluffing herself out when I walk up. She pecked my daughter on the foot. Acts like she is going to peck me. I put my hands out today to show her I did not have any snacks. She gave my hand a quick painless peck. I picked her up and when I put her down she made a shrill sound and turned toward me all bowed up. My EE came up and raised herself up to make her neck I swear 3in longer and stood over her. RIR ducked her head and slowly turned away. Was she protecting me? She is a fun, sweet chickie. Great personality and Loves a snack.
