Wet black butt

My hen has this wet black butt. No funky smells that I can tell. She is also molting pretty hard. Is this normal poopy butt or something more? I've never seen it look so wet.

You have 2 duplicate threads. You might want to delete one of them. At the bottom of your post, there is a delete button you can press. Then it will ask you why, and you just type in the reason. Do you have any pictures of the hen or the droppings? What do you feed? How old is she? Do you have any wood ash around your yard or in a dust bathing area? Droppings can change throughout the day from normal to cecal droppings. Some depend on their diet.

She might be in need of a thorough deworming and a nice butt bath in warm water.
