what age do roosters start to crow?

My Black Copper Maran is 8 months old and just started. Last week my hens got out of their pen and one went missing all day into the woods. I guess he was distraught and just started crowing! Now that he has figured it out, he is so loud and crows all day...This morning at 3am and almost every hour constant!!!

They all look like pullets to me. My boys were around 4 months old when they started crowing.
