What are some brooder-safe cleaners?

So it never occurred to me that the chicks would crap on the walls of the 50 gallon plastic tub that I've turned into a brooder. Now that I'm ready to change out those puppy pee pads and that thick layer of pine shavings, what's safe for me to use to wipe down the inside of the brooder?

I suggest a damp cloth.

Water is safe, and will remove the droppings about as well as anything else you might use. Wipe it once to get it wet, let it sit a little while for the dried stuff to soften up, then wipe some more until it looks clean.

It will not be clean enough for a human to eat from, but it will be clean enough to safely brood baby chicks.
